February 26-28 at the 4H The Vines Center, 1 Four-H Way, Little Rock, 72223
This meeting will be the first time in many years where the AR AFS and TWS societies will host a joint annual meeting. This will provide an exciting opportunity to learn more broadly about conservation work being conducted across the state, to open up collaboration opportunities, and to interact with professionals from many fields. In short, we are BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS by bringing both societies together. The meeting will feature a joint session with talks of interest to both societies, a professional development opportunity open to all participants, two evening socials, and organized opportunities for students to network with professionals. All activities will take place on the beautiful campus of the 4H center just 10 miles outside of Little Rock.
We will kick off the meeting with two optional field tours from 9-11am on 2/26. One will tour Lake Conway renovation work and the other will tour Central Arkansas Water dam removal sites. You may sign up for these when registering. More information will be sent to those who sign up.
Registration costs will fully cover two nights of lodging on site at the 4H center as well as all meals during the conference (6 meals total: lunch and dinner on 2/26, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on 2/27, and breakfast on 2/28). Registration fees will also cover all field tours, workshops, and socials. Day only registration includes lunch and dinner on 2/26 and 2/27. Fees can be found in the table below.
We have a limited number of rooms so please plan on having a roommate and indicate the name of your roommate on your registration form. Only a few single rooms will be available. Students will be housed in bunk rooms which can accommodate up to six roommates and should indicate multiple roommate names on the registration form.
