Let us see your favorite fish and tell us why!

Mine will always be Paddlefish. As the focal species for my graduate research, they hold a special place in my heart (& bonus points because they don't smell fishy!) Looking forward to getting my hands on some soon!

Some "hammers" I caught on Cadron Creek today (10/28/22).  All were caught on swimbaits. Largest was 12-in.  Unless someone else posts some fish pictures, looks like I won the inaugural AR AFS Fishing Contest!

JJ - go ahead and engrave my name on the Championship Belt!  Ha ha!

Will Lancett's lunker Florida Stain Largemouth Bass caught with a Beetle Spin fished with a Zebco 33 in Lake Conway's Nursery Pond.  Total Length = 210-mm.  Caught on October 11th, 2022.  Setting the bar high!

Slab Cadron Creek Shadow Bass.  Not a state record but the largest that I have caught or seen in Cadron Creek.

I've had the opportunity to spend the last two years working in the Ouachita Mountains with the Paleback Darter a state endemic species. We finished sampling the last site for my MS project on January 23rd. It was such a fun day with perfect weather and an awesome crew! The last site had this incredible Paleback Darter in full breeding colors. It's the most spectacular species (absolutely no bias here), so I had to brag a little about this fish!

Bass fishing with a 4" finesse worm helped me catch this 4.25lb Walleye on Lake Hamilton.   Thanks to my netter/ballast, Brett Hobbs!

You never know what you are going to catch on Central Arkansas' largest free flowing creek.  Ned Rigs fooled them on this day.
