In southwest Arkansas, we have been working on smallmouth genetics sampling.  The Saline, Little Missouri, Mountain Fork, Cossatot, and Robinson Fork Rivers have been a blast (and awesome exercise).  We have caught Smallmouth, Largemouth, Spotted Bass, and a million Green Sunfish.  The largest Smallmouth Bass was 397mm (15.6 inches), but we are pretty sure there is still a five pounder hiding somewhere.  The baits that have worked really well have been a white Zoom super fluke with a 3/0 offset shank hook, 1/10 oz Zman power finesse shroomz jigs with Zman finesse TRD or TRD craw baits in many different colors, and just any green pumpkin worm wacky rigged on a 1/0 hook or smaller.  I'll get better about taking more pictures for my next bragging post.
